Common Roof Repairs You'll See Here

Older terracotta and concrete roofs across Melbourne’s east present their own challenges — fragile tiles, discontinued profiles, awkward pitches — and these are exactly the jobs we specialise in.

Roof Repair — Balwyn
Real Roof Repairs Across Melbourne's East
Every photo on this page is a job we've completed ourselves — no stock images, no borrowed portfolios. These are real roof repairs, restorations and re-roofs carried out on homes across Balwyn, Camberwell, Blackburn, Glen Iris, Toorak and the surrounding eastern suburbs.
We think that matters. When you're choosing a roofer, you're trusting someone with the single most important protective layer on your home, often sight-unseen from the ground. Photos of finished work are the closest thing to standing on the roof yourself.
What the Before and After Shots Show
Look closely at the restoration comparisons and you'll see the full scope of what a proper job involves. The "before" images typically show cracked or missing tiles, crumbling ridge capping, moss and lichen growth, rusted valley irons and heavily faded colour. These are the classic symptoms of a tiled roof that's been quietly deteriorating for fifteen or twenty years. The "after" images show the result: replaced tiles, freshly rebedded and repointed ridge caps, clean valleys, and a uniform protective coating that seals the surface and restores the colour. It's the same roof — just brought back to the condition it should be in. You'll also see plenty of in-progress shots, and those are deliberate. Photos of sarking and battens going in, valley irons being swapped out, and rebedding underway show the parts of roof repairs that disappear once the job is finished. That's where the quality exists that Major Roofing is known for.
